The past week

Hello everyone! It has been a busy few days, hence no posts since Wednesday. Here's what's been happening in my world!
FROST!!! This past week the temperatures have dipped below freezing and the highs have been about 50 degrees. That's a big change from the week prior when it was 80 degrees! As mentioned, the mornings now come with a layer of frost on everything.
I just thought that I would reassure you all that even with all of my happenings that I write about I am continuing to do well in classes. I have aced many of my quizzes and even got over 100% on one of them (didn't know they did that in college!).
As mentioned in the previous posts, I interviewed for a job working for a researcher in her lab and had an interview on Wednesday. I was hired (hooray!) and was trained in on Friday. I will start work on Monday if all goes well!
On Friday night I went with a friend to see a play. We saw The King and I. It was really well done. The theater was extremely ornate and the acting was great! I will post some pictures! The play was 2 hours and 45 minutes, and it took 20 minutes to get there and 20 minutes back, but it was all worth it!
On Saturday morning we made our own pancakes in the kitchenette, which were delicious! Then some friends and I went downtown to the Parade of Nations. There was a parade and then afterward there was a festival where each country had a booth and was making and selling native foods. For lunch I had Mexican fried rice and flan for dessert. It was really good! Look for pictures!
This morning I went to church and then I did laundry. The rest of the day has been homework. It has been a productive weekend though! Can't wait to talk to you all soon!
